Check for data-type bytes in all set functions and raise ValueError if a value is not that type. This is needed in the case when SyncStorage is created with fake_db_backend="dict" to allow standalone, in-memory testing. When testing, client programs can successfully set key-value pairs with non-bytes values, but that fails when they use the real SyncStorage.
