The O-RAN Alliance WG1 data model task group defined rules for its yang modules,

A common tool for yang parsing and  validation is [pyang|https://github.com/mbj4668/pyang]  - a python based yang parser.

pyang is an open-source project under ISC License.

It offers a concept to add plug-ins. 

The idea could be creating an pyang plug-in for O-RAN specific yang validation.

in addition also an improved and documentation could be develop which combines already existing pyang output formats - e.g. tree, jstree, plantuml, html, ...
